Luigi Boccherini of Lucca, Italy was a virtuosic cellist, and his exuberant Spanish-influenced style delights the ear and charms the heart.

The program will include the cello quintet in E Major (G. 275), string trio in G Major (G. 108), and the programmatic cello quintet “Musica notturna delle strade di Madrid” (G. 324) with variations on Retirada.

Featured performers: Chris Carillo, trumpet; Michelle Humphries, timpani; Jennifer Streeter, keyboard continuo; Sarah Schilling, oboe. Ēchos is a chamber chorus drawn from Choralis, recognized for its artistry by reviewers from The Washington Post and other publications.
